We recently uncovered a small treasure in the shop: a collection of vintage Icelandic cinema programs from the mid-20th century.

These beautifully designed booklets once accompanied film screenings in Reykjavík cinemas such as Laugarásbíó and Austurbæjarbíó. Printed mostly in the 1950s–1970s, they feature striking typography, bold colours, and local Icelandic titles for international films.

These aren’t reproductions, but original cinema treasures, frame-worthy, and increasingly hard to find. Whether you’re a film lover, a design nerd, or just someone who appreciates cultural oddities, these pieces make wonderful collectibles and gifts.
