Mackenzie's travel book became one of the best-known books about Iceland, and was published in a total of 4 editions in England, and was also translated into other languages.\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003eHenry Holland was only 22 years old when he traveled here. He had completed his medical degree that spring, but the following year he received a doctorate for a paper on diseases in Iceland. Dr. Holland later became a very well-known physician in England, personal physician to Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. He was also a very active traveler, and the Iceland trip was his first long-distance trip. He always had a very warm heart for Iceland and the Icelanders after this trip.
