Returning home in 1960, he worked partly as a printer, partly as a missionary in the Church Mission Society, until he became a missionary away in 1965.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e His first story was a Christmas story, which was published in Dimmalætting shortly before Christmas in 1944, and at the end of the 1940s and first in the 1950s, his stories were really torn up in the Faroese newspapers, mostly in »14.
