Rögnvaldur has been the parish priest in Staðarprestakkall for the longest time, or since 1973. Rögnvaldur has previously published the book Jerusalem City of Talking Stones, Diary Excerpts from the Holy Land (1990). In 1988, his memoirs, Faith, Love and Doubt, were published, written by writer Guðbergur Bergsson.\u003cbr\u003e The book is divided into five chapters: Snæfellsnes, The Nordics, Russia, Japan and Life and Death.
