This is followed by an overview of the history of the interpretation of Scripture, and finally an attempt is made to situate Christian ethics within the general ethical debate.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003eThe second part of the book seeks to show how the world in which man lives and works is defined in the Old Testament, on the one hand in the first commandment and on the other in the first creation story of Genesis. In the message of Jesus, this thought is elaborated in more detail, including in the parable of the Good Samaritan. In it, to a certain extent, the content of Christian ethics crystallizes. Its history of interpretation is therefore traced, among other things, in the teachings of Icelandic scholars.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e The third part of the work discusses the second and third commandments, dealing with what it means for man to be God's co-worker and representative on earth.
