She also wrote several books, including: Svo skal böl bátt in 1943, Veltiár in 1947, Tveir júnidagar in 1949 and also wrote short stories for newspapers and magazines and worked on translations.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003eIn 1978, Erlingur Davíðsson interviewed her for the book series Aldnir hafa võrð. Oddný was seventy at the time. When Erlingur sat down at the kitchen table in her home to begin the interview, he noticed that there was no coffee pot on the table. She then said that she had never had a coffee pot but still thought coffee was good.
