This photocopy is being made in 500 numbered copies from a copy of the paper that had been in the possession of Guðmundur's wife, Mrs. Karólína Ísleifsdóttir, but is now preserved in the University Library.\u003cbr\u003e Professor Guðmundur wrote the entire journal in his own hand, hectographed several copies and sent them to his colleagues in North and East Iceland.
