It discusses the projects of the Icelandic Sand Reclamation Project up to 1965 and the Land Reclamation Agency, which was established at that time. The book contains about 260 photographs, drawings and maps. Most of the images are large color images. A vivid and graphic account of how Icelanders turned defense into offense, stopped man-made flooding, and clothed the land in the beautiful colors of vegetation once again.
