Björnsson. \u003cbr\u003eSveinn Helgi was born in Blöndubakkar in the Eastern Hunavatnssýsla County, the son of Helga Bjarnadóttir and Jón Stefánsson. Sveinn attended Flensborgarskóli from 1906 to 1908, took his secondary education from the secondary education school in Akureyri, then entered the 4th grade of the Menntaskólinn and became a student in 1914. He enrolled in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Copenhagen and lived in Garður (Regensen). Late the following autumn he enrolled in the Faculty of Philosophy as a Nordic student. Early in the first months of 1916, Sveinn went to hospital and then to a drunkards' asylum and graduated from there in August. The following winter he met a Danish woman whom he married in 1922, having by then completed his studies at a commercial school. He worked in auditing and ran his own business with his wife. Sveinn became known for his poetry when he entered the 4th grade of the Menntaskólinn in 1911 and many of his poems were published in Óðn og lýdabók Framtíðinnar. He was then often identified with that society and called Sveinn Framtíðarskáld. He had a strange and contradictory story. His life path lay from the spotlight of admiration, love and poetry, into a drunkard's asylum, which left him as an active good citizen, with old acquaintances and childhood scars far from sight.","brand":"Bókin.is","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":51123736969544,"sku":"OSC-49780","price":2900.0,"currency_code":"ISK","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0916\/4029\/9848\/files\/55334.jpg?v=1754765308","url":"https:\/\/www.bokin.is\/en\/products\/sveinn-framtiarskald-55334-49780","provider":"bokin.is","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
