How to Survive Inflation

Sometimes it’s not the book itself that tells the best story, it’s what’s tucked inside. We recently found a well-worn copy of How to Survive Inflation (nope, publishing date isn't 2026... it's from the 80s) and out slipped an old receipt, carefully adding up some ISK... bravely wrestling with the rising prices of their day.

And here we are, decades later, looking at those numbers with a nostalgic sigh, because today that total might not nearly cover one  trip to Bónus...

Inflation may have changed its scale (and added a few zeros), but the ritual remains the same: we count, we complain, and in the end, we just carry on, laughing at the absurdity of it all - as - thankfully - humour is still priceless.
