At Bókin, we enjoyed welcoming Bobby Fischer during his final years in Iceland, where he often spent his time reading among our shelves. He favored a peaceful corner of the shop, enjoying the calm atmosphere and the view onto the street while maintaining his privacy. To this day, we remember his visits and preserve a small connection to the legendary chess champion who once called our bookstore a refuge with our "Bobby Fischer" Corner, where you'll find a great selection of chess books, magazines, and of course a chess set to sit down and play.
