Halldór Stefánsson, director of the Fire Rescue Society of Iceland, has collected in this book most of the information he has found about the history of this town, about the place, its location, the beginning of the settlement, oral tradition, landmarks, vegetation, land values, etc., the history of Möðrudal Church and its priests, the farmers there and their farming, stories and poems about the place and is accompanied by a list of residents with dates and finally a list of place names. There are about 130 place names listed, and I have enjoyed reviewing them, and there are a few that I can't remember where they belong.
