Bjarni Marinó is from Siglfjordur. He was born in Akureyri, moved to Fljót in Skagafjörður when he was young, from there to Akureyri again and then to Siglufjörður. He has spent most of his working career there. He has been a worker and foreman there for many years, working in the fish processing industry. He has also done a lot of social work. Aftanskin is Bjarni Marinó's second book of poetry.
