A tiny fragment from eternity. Poem by Ólafur Ragnarsson.
Agnarsmá brot úr éivíðð was the first and only book of poetry by Ólafur Ragnarsson, a former journalist and book publisher. He wrote the poems in the last two years of his life after he was diagnosed with MND. Although he was almost completely paralyzed from the root of his tongue down to his toes, it is clear from the poems that his will to fight was unwavering, his mind free and flying far and wide. “Ólafur has the nerves of a poet, is personal and warm and is sensitive to the land and environment. But what attracts the most attention is his enduring serenity and attitude towards life and death.” – Matthías Johannessen, poet.
Ólafur died in March 2008.
