Aldarspegill. Under attack. Compiled by Elías Snæland Jónsson.
The so-called "Kollum Affair" was one of the most peculiar political issues in Iceland in the 1930s. Hermann Jónasson, then the chief of police in Reykjavík, was accused of shooting birds on Örfirisey Island and killing a "Kollum Affair". This became a major scandal and interfered with the election campaign in the municipal and parliamentary elections of 1934.
Elías Snæland explains this case and two other heat cases from the same time in this book.
