Always on the way home - Still on the way home. Two books by Ambassador Vilhjálm Finsen.
Always on the way home. Published on Vilhjálmur's seventieth birthday. In it, he tells of his years growing up in old Reykjavík, his years studying in Copenhagen, his work and sailing, as a radio operator, the founding of Morgunblaðið and his editorial board, his years as a journalist in Oslo, his work as a government representative in Norway, and many other things he had experienced and lived. Vilhjálmur also tells of the German occupation of Norway and when he was expelled from the country and went to Stockholm and established an Icelandic embassy there.
Still on his way home. Vilhjálmur tells of numerous projects he had in hand for the Icelandic government. Here he brings to light, for example, Hitler's plans to gain control of Iceland, German espionage in Iceland and Icelandic Nazis. Vilhjálmur also reveals many images of the great secrecy and extensive espionage by foreign countries in Sweden during the war.
