Guðmundur's style is picturesque, clear and lively. The reader is his traveling companion through the valleys of the Alps, the shores of the Baltic Sea and the coves of the Istrian peninsula, dances with the beautiful-eyed maidens of the metropolis, hears the arrival of the reindeer king crow his magic and looks into the magic mirror of the goddess Sambana at the foot of the Dolomites.
