Steingerður Guðmundsdóttir was a great artist and sought refuge in her artistic creation. She was very fond of fiction and published seven books of poetry, she also studied sculpture for a time, studied acting and wrote several plays and solos. Bláin is a collection of selected poems that she herself selected for publication before her death in 1999, and with its publication her memory will be kept alive for years to come.
