The Invitation. A play in three acts. Publisher M. Grímsson.
This game was first published in 1852.
A love story of young people in the countryside at the turn of the century. A poor and unassuming farmer's son loves a wealthy farmer's daughter. Her father decides to give her to the son of another wealthy farmer, but her mother is so annoyed at not being included in the plans that she turns the tables and gives her to her poor fiancé. At the same time, a drunkard and a drunkard are looking for a wife. He has a pretty funny way of asking women out, but he "fake" being drunk so that he can see which women like him and which don't. This doesn't work out well, but other characters happily get their way at the end of the play.
