Brynhildur Georgiá grew up in war-torn Germany and in Bessastaðir, sold clotheslines in Argentina and fished in the sea in the Suðurnes. She lost two children, had five husbands and spent the last seventeen years of her life bedridden in a garage in Reykjavík.
