Revolution. The story that changed Iceland. Hörður Torfason.

The Household Appliances Revolution, which began on October 11, 2008, is one of the most significant events in recent Icelandic history. Following the collapse of the country's financial system, the public rose up and protested the corruption and greed that had left a large portion of the population in shock and their livelihoods in turmoil.

Soon after the collapse in the fall of 2008, protests took on a permanent form. Thousands of protesters flocked to Austurvöllur to protest and demand democratic reforms. The government fell. The person in charge of organizing the street protests was the theater actor and singer-songwriter Hörður Torfason. He had the difficult role of overseeing the meetings and ensuring that their organization was maintained.

He tells the story of these eventful times here, recalling news events and displaying photographs from these fateful times. Several Icelanders recall their involvement in the conflict. The question is what has changed.
