Ódáðahraun. By Ólafur Jónsson. Ólafur traveled through Ódáðahraun and Mývatnsöræfi every summer from 1937 to 1945 and worked systematically on exploring the landscape, geology and volcanic remains. He also collected sources about these areas. The result was the book Ódáðahraun, which can be called a classic in its field, adorned with Ólafur's drawings and photographs by Eðvarður Sigurgeirsson, who was Ólafur's traveling companion on many Ódáðahraun trips.
