One day in July 1959, Haraldur Bessason met for the first time Jósep Thorson, a native of Ásakot in Biskupstungur, Canada's Minister of War during World War II.
This was at the Fort Garry Hotel in Winnipeg, and with Harald were Jóhann Gestur Jóhannsson and Sveinn Björnsson, doctors, both old friends of Jóseps.
There was a lot going on, and the book uses imagery to depict this moment in time. That moment, however, stretches over several decades; it can therefore be assumed that a time frame does not support a logical context in any way.
Haraldur recalls in his own unique way accounts of the interactions between Icelandic settlers and Indians and Ukrainians, and the story of the great battle of Joseph and his companions with the turkeys, and shares his reflections on the Kensington Stone, legends, and much more.
