Dana's Togt omring Jorden 1928-1930 / By Johannes Schmidt and the participants in the expedition.
In 1928, the good Danish ship sailed from Denmark on a scientific expedition around the world, which would last for two years. Although the main purpose of the expedition was to make scientific discoveries, which would subsequently be published in the world's languages, so that the international scientific world could benefit from them, the crew experienced great interest from the general public, who both wanted to know more about the journey itself and about the scientific discoveries. Therefore, Johannes Schmidt published the book "Danas togt omring Jorden 1928-1930", which consists of a series of chapters written by different crew members about it, which each one found most interesting. The book is full of interesting information and stories and can be read by professionals as well as laymen.

Johannes Schmidt (1877-1933) was a Danish biologist, naturforsker, professor and knight of Dannebrogordenen. He was for many years the head of Carlsberg Laboratorium's physiological department, but is particularly known for his attempts to find the ålen's nest, when he traveled with the Danish expedition in 1921-22 and 1928-30.
