Digte af D. Østlund. A book of poems by Davið Östlund, printer and missionary.

Davíð Östlund (1870-1931), a printer and missionary, moved from Reykjavík to Seyðisfjörður in 1901 and bought Prentsmiðja Bjarki, which printed the paper of the same name. Þorsteinn Gíslason (1867-1938), a poet, took over the editorial office of the paper in November 1901 from the poet Þorsteinn Erlingsson.
Davíð Östlund changed the name of the printing house to Prentsmiðja Seyðisfjörður upon purchase, but it was originally Prentsmiðja Skuldur, which Jón Ólafsson bought for Eskifjörður in 1877. Frækorn, which Davíð published, was previously printed at Aldar-prentsmiðja, then at Prentsmiðja Seyðisfjörður in 1903-1904, and finally at Prentsmiðja "Frækorna".
