Sæmundur Stefánsson (October 9, 1859 – May 10, 1945) was an Icelandic leper who is known for his autobiography, "A summary of the life of a leper in Laugarnes", which was published in Morgnur in 1924. In it, he tells of his childhood in Borgarfjörður, where he first lived under harsh conditions as a laborer and later as a laborer in a boarding house. He was diagnosed with leprosy and was admitted to Laugarnes Hospital in 1901.
