A drop from the last shower. Poem by Anton Helga Jónsson.
Anton Helgi Jónsson was born on January 15, 1955 in Sólvangur in Hafnarfjörður. He lived in Hraunkot near Hellisgerði for the first few years of his life, but later in the Independence House on Strandgata, where his mother was a caretaker. Toni, as most people called him, attended medical school, was in a class with Herður Jafetsson, and knew no better than that he lived in the best home of all homes. At the age of twelve he moved to Reykjavík and lived there for many, many years, but eventually moved back to the Fjörður and lives there as these words are written.

In addition to writing, Anton Helgi Jónsson has worked in a variety of jobs throughout his life. He worked as a stagehand at the Reykjavík Drama Club for several years, also worked at a treatment center for teenagers, and later was the director of a service center for disabled students in Stockholm. Anton has also worked in advertising and public relations, and for a time ran a company in that field. Anton studied philosophy and literary studies at Stockholm University.

In his living room at home, Anton often listens to the poet Bob Dylan, but if he is walking around Hvaleyrarholti, he likes to hear ravens. Anton Helgi Jónsson is married and the father of four children. (www.anton.is).
