Dunganon. A play in 12 acts with a final act.
A play about the artist Karl Einarsson Dunganon, Earl of St. Kilda.
The play Dunganon covers a five-year period in Dunganon's life, the years 1942 - 1947, from when Dunganon undertook to provide weekly radio broadcasts to the Faroe Islands for the Germans and up until Dunganon set off for Iceland in 1947 with the stated purpose of lighting a cigar at the Hekluel fires. Dunganon's radio broadcasts from the German war machine to the Faroe Islands have undoubtedly been more personal and more humane than Goebbels' Ministry of Propaganda intended, for ... for two whole years (he read) his poems to the Faroe Islands between 5 and 5.15 on Thursdays," says Björn Th. in his epilogue.
