Dwarven language. Poem by Baldur Eiríksson from Dvergsstaðir.
Dvergmál is the first and only book by Baldur from Dvergstaðir.
Baldur Eiríksson, the author of this book, was born at Dvergsstaðir in Eyjafjörður on December 23, 1910, and grew up there until he was twenty. He studied at the Akureyri High School for four years and graduated there in 1936. That same year, he began working at the KEA office. He must have been interested in poetry during his growing up years, but when he came to work at KEA, there were several clever poets and fortune tellers who never shied away from poetry. Things were not going well there, and he did not want to leave his mark. Short stories about him from the day and the road first appeared in the newspaper Degi á Akureyri under the pseudonym Dvergur, which is taken from his birthplace, and later poems by him appeared in Timan and Speglin.
