Here, for the first time, five fairy tales from the late 17th century appear in print, both pornographic and of varying morals. They tell, among other things, of knights experimenting with womanhood, the trials of a liar, and the adventures of two young men. The stories were translated by Jón Eggertsson (1643-1689) while he was in a penal colony in Copenhagen.
