The Elliðaárnar. Compiled by Ásgeir Ingólfsson.
Here Ásgeir Ingólfsson tells the story of the Elliða River, ancient and modern, and here are also detailed descriptions of fishing spots in the river. The book contains over a hundred color photographs, including a color photo of each fishing spot, along with many black and white photos. The book is accompanied by a detailed map of the Elliðaárdalur valley, showing the names of the coves and landmarks along the rivers.
Ásgeir Ingólfsson is the former vice-chairman and managing director of the Reykjavík Angling Association and he is the most knowledgeable person on the history of the rivers and fishing in them, and here he shares, among other things, the knowledge of his grandfather and great-grandfather who fished in the rivers with British fishermen in the early part of the last century.
