As different as we are now, each with our own unique style and idiosyncrasies, as has become abundantly clear on tour with its attendant bouts of anger and excitement, we have always had wonderful success working together in the studio. Then something is unleashed, some creativity is ignited, our veins open, everyone feels great and the music flows forward. I have never really understood this, perhaps I have never had time to think about it because these have been such hectic years, but I have noticed that many who have studied our albums have felt exactly this; I have especially mentioned that it rings so clearly through how good we, the band, have at recording music together; that the harmony is not just musical but also internal within our group. And I think this is right.
