Denne bog is a kind of pilgrimage to old Iceland, to the land of sagas and the land of medieval culture. The narrative builds on old and new literature, especially old, and progresses as if traveling through the islands minderige region. You can find a weaving of travel observations from the years 1937 and 1939 with natural descriptions and characteristics of some of the moments the author has met. The other side of the material is events from old literature, which the author brings to life by placing it in today's milieu. The author is also familiar with the Nordic literature about Iceland and has built a very attractive book based on these different elements.
