The spirit of poetry still lives. Poems and free verse by Kristján Runólfsson.
Kristján Runólfsson was a native of Skagfjordur and lived for most of his life in Sauðárkrókur, where he founded and operated a museum, among other things. He was a prolific poet and a poetess, and he left behind a large collection of diverse poetry. Kristján was equally fond of nature poetry, humorous poetry, religious poetry, and occasional poetry of various kinds, as well as free verse about everyday life, poetry, or life and existence. The book contains a selection of Kristján's poems, and it is the hope of those responsible for the publication that with it his works will be spared the fate of "being blown away by the wind".
Ragnar Ingi Aðalsteinsson chose the poems and wrote the foreword.
