Jákup í Jógvansstova was born in Leirvík 1/8-1913. After finishing nursery school, he spent four years on a ship, has since worked as a carpenter and operated a 2-mark rig, which he rigged in 1947 and left to his son in 1982.
Thus, Jákup has created the Christmas magazine »Hugnalig Jól«, and in 1979 the book »Eyskaríð« with stories, narratives and stories came from his hands.
