Jón Theodórsson was a great calligrapher. And when he came to Reykjavík, he earned a living for himself and his family with it to some extent. Jón and Elín were very religious people and often received wonderful answers to their prayers from God, as they presented all their affairs to Him every morning and evening, who feeds the birds of the air and clothes the lilies of the field.
