Kristrún Guðmundsdóttir was born in 1953 in the Suðurnes region with roots in the north of Þingeyjarsýsla. Her passion is Icelandic literature, which she shares with young people in the Suðurnes region. She has received awards for her poetry both at home and abroad. Kristrún has held poetry workshops for young people here at home and in Norway, where she worked as a literature teacher for a while. (www.skald.is)
