Fóstbræðralag is the story of the Fóstbræðra Men's Choir from 1911 to the present day. The history of the choir is intertwined with Icelandic music history in the 20th century and the cultural history of the nation on its way to the present day. The narrative is agile and lively and connects the history of the choir in an entertaining way with the upheavals and changes in society at any given time. It tells of songs and victories, outbursts and conflicts within and outside the choir. The choir members stick together both in play and work and have to overcome many obstacles to achieve the goal of becoming the most ambitious men's choir in Iceland and even if they were to seek further afield.
