I lit my candle. Travelogues from Italy. Anna from Moldnúpur tells here, among other things, about when she saw the Pope in Rome.
"It was 6 o'clock and then the big moment arrived, when the curtains were pulled back a little and out onto the balcony came Pope Pius XII, dressed in a white cloak with a furred shoulder strap. Accompanying him was only one dark-clad man. I, the cold-blooded bastard from Iceland, now saw that I had never before witnessed what is called rapture. It was nothing more than the people going wild. And what was more, I saw tears flowing in torrents down the cheeks of some of the women, so warmed were their hearts at the sight of the Holy Father."
