Heiðardalur has not been settled for a thousand years since the middle of the settlement period.
In the valley stands the incomparable natural wonder, Hólaborg, the headquarters of the clan of the hidden folk who live in the valley. The trolls also build moors and hammers and know many strange things, but despite their size and strength they do no harm to anyone, although it is known that they do not lack the desire to strengthen their position of power throughout the valleys and plains.
Siblings Hrólfur and Hildur are preparing for a mountain hike with their peer, Bjössa, and the intention is to receive a charm that had been given to the siblings' grandparents fifty years earlier when their grandmother performed the act of charity by sitting over a veiled woman the night before her wedding.
And the siblings begin their journey with their best friend, optimistic and joyful, aware of their responsibilities and the dangers that come with it, which, admittedly, don't seem at all dangerous when they try. They encounter great adventures that evening and the next night.
