The Huns' Council of the East, from the glaciers to the farthest shores. By Jón Torfason.
The 2007 FÍ Yearbook covers the Eastern Húnavatn County from Langjökull, Kili and Hofsjökull in the south to Vesturhóp and the Skagatá River in the north. Extensive heathland characterizes the southern part of the area and Kjalvegur from Hveravöllur and northwards is considered to be part of Húnaþing. There are two urban centres; Skagaströnd and Blönduós.
The book not only describes the natural features and local conditions, but is also rich in stories and legends about the area.
