The Dogs of Thessaloniki. Short stories by Kjell Askildsen. Icelandic translation by Einar Kárason.
Kjell Askildsen (b. 1929) began his career in 1953 with the book Heretter følger jeg deg helt hjem (Here I Follow You All the Way Home) and has since been a prolific and award-winning author. He received the Norwegian Critics' Literary Prize in 1983 and 1992 and the Norwegian State Prize in 1987.
Author Einar Kárason translates The Dogs of Thessaloniki, which is Askildsen's second book to be published in Icelandic, because in 1995 his book The Last Memoirs of Tómasar F. came to public view in a translation by the poet Hannes Sigfússon.
