Where does a man end up? A poem by Jónas Þorbjarnarson.
Here the reader follows the poet on his travels around the country. In one poem, a frightening childhood experience emerges, a stay in Italy is told, friendship, love and sorrows are told, and in some of the poems, snapshots are drawn that follow into the day. Jónas' poems are not dramatic, but the beauty or threat of the moment stands vividly before the reader. Here is a modern poem on the move, like in the author's previous works, but this is his seventh book of poetry. (Bókatíðindi 2005).

Grotto

Stimulus from the seagull

and women joking around but it's

completely different, they don't attack

although it actually comes very close

when we meet

really hit hard

but at most, just look at me

I push them away with my hand.

the jays, they are coming back

they misunderstand me badly

and have always done

compared to herons

The women seem innocent.

but their stimuli still cut differently deeper

and is not due to a misunderstanding
