Hákon Aðalsteinsson, a poet and forest farmer, has long been known as one of our best folklorists, poets and storytellers. Hákon composes witty verses about current events and humorous incidents, but a serious tone is never far from his poetry. There is a powerful and genuine poetry that touches the readers of his books. He has previously published six books, including two poetry books, Bjallkolla 1993 and Oddrún 1995. Both of these poetry books sold out immediately after their publication. His best-known book, however, is the autobiography Þt var rosalegt , which was written by journalist Sigurdór Sigurdórsson . (Bókatíðindi 2002).
