Earthly poems. A selection of poems by Vilhjálmur frá Skáholti.
The foreword is written by Helgi Sæmundsson.
Jesus Christ and I
Here I sit alone with my self-confidence weak,
on a black rock, where the waves play.
Between the clouds the moon twinkles pink
and wheelbarrows row towards the middle.
My soul seems burned by sin and more.
Oh, sit with me, good Jesus, now,
because you both come from higher lineages
and no one knows God better than you.
