Farewells by Guðmundur Jónsson. This is, as far as I can tell, Guðmundur Jónsson's only book.
Guðmundur Jónsson was born in July 1858 at Auður on Vatnsleysuströnd, the son of Jón Erlendsson, the district governor there, and his wife Guðnýjar Ívarsdóttir. In his early twenties, Guðmundur moved to Grímsstaðir at Grímsstaðaholt in Reykjavík. From there he moved south to Garður and worked as a sailor there for a long time and was a foreman on boats there and in the East Fjords. But in 1905, Guðmundur moved to Reykjavík. In January 1910, he began working as a doorman at Landsbankinn in Reykjavík and held that position until his death, November 16, 1929.
A fine copy, unbound. A rarity.
