The Saturday Revolution. A white book about the events at the last FUF general meeting in Reykjavík. Published by the outgoing board of the association.
Progressives clash. The Alþýðublaðið newspaper has an account of this confrontational meeting that the book discusses here. It says, among other things, "It was a narrow margin as usual, but the right-wingers had it and with it Olafur Ragnar Grimsson and his colleagues became a very influential force in the organization of young progressives in the capital area. The left-wingers in the organization were naturally furious when the results were in front of them and after the election results had been read out , Ólafur Ragnar Grímsson stood in the rostrum, more on edge than usual, and declared that now Tómas Karlsson and his colleagues had played a dirty game. By eliminating the people whom the former board of the Young Progressives Association had recommended, Tómas and his colleagues had thrown the first stone at the left-wing parties' coalition government in the country."
