End of the play. By Folke Bernadotte. Translated by Árni Jónsson from Múli with permission from the author.
Folke Bernadotte, Count of Wisborg (2 January 1895 – 17 September 1948) was a Swedish nobleman and diplomat. During World War II, he negotiated the release of some 31,000 prisoners from Nazi concentration camps, including 450 Danish Jews from Theresienstadt. They were released on 14 April 1945. That same year, Bernadotte accepted a German surrender offer from Heinrich Himmler, but the offer was ultimately rejected.
