I let my mind wander.

I remember how thirsty you were.

to know more, gain life experience

opened new dimensions

That's how it is with all children, I think.

I often bought your kindness and said:

If you do this or that

if you become like this and like that

then I'll tell you everything in the world

You always fell for this promise

probably because of how charmingly absurd it was

When it came to the execution

I always said: Ask me then

But how to ask?

Now I want to say something about it.

which I promised then but didn't do

because something else seemed more urgent

I now set off on an unclear path

remembering that a journey of a thousand miles
starts in one step
