Poem by Hallfríður Ingimundardóttir.
Hallfríður was born on July 28, 1951, the daughter of Jóhanna B. Þórarinsdóttir, who was a long-time working midwife, and Ingimundur B. Halldórsson. She grew up in Patreksfjörður, but the family then moved to Hafnarfjörður in 1967. Hallfríður completed a BA in Icelandic from the University of Iceland in 1981 and her final project is on the work of Ásta Sigurðardóttir. She then completed her teacher training. Hallfríður has written children's books and teaching materials and published books of poetry. She has four children and lives in Reykjavík. In recent years, she has written poetry through the camera.
